On September 20, 2024, Sorsogon State University Castilla Campus held its 3rd Quarter Meeting at the SorSU Castilla Meat Processing Building. The event gathered key personnel from various departments to review campus achievements, discuss administrative updates, and outline strategic goals for the remainder of the academic year.
The meeting opened with remarks from Prof. Andrew F. Detera, Castilla Campus Director. Dr. Rochele N. Aragon, Dean of the College of Agriculture, led the main presentations, highlighting the importance of quality instruction in fulfilling the university’s institutional objectives. Updates were also presented by various department heads and coordinators,including Mr. Brian Gabriel J. Buenaobra, Research & Development Office Coordinator; Ms. Ira M. Habla, Extension and Training Services Coordinator; Engr. Oscar Peter D. Pascual, Planning Management Office and Pili Research Center Manager; Dr. Milagros N. Ebuenga, BTVTED Program Chairperson; and Engr. Charleen Grace V. Deniega, Quality Assurance Office Coordinator.

In addition to these departmental updates, the meeting featured reports on community outreach and feeding programs led by Dr. Milagros N. Ebuenga, who also serves as the Castilla Campus Alumni President. Mrs. Melody M. Llabres, SDS Coordinator, provided updates on student services, while Mrs. Reynalda H. Duana, Administrative Officer V, shared insights into the upcoming Admin Council events.
The event concluded with closing remarks from Dr. Rochele N. Aragon, Dean of the College of Agriculture, The event was smoothly facilitated by Ms. Nina Allaine Habitan and Ms. Joan R. Esquila, who served as the Ladies of Ceremony.
