To build and foster collaboration, teamwork, and camaraderie among SorSU employees from four campuses, Sorsogon State University (SorSU), as part of its 116th Foundation Anniversary Celebration, conducted a university-wide team building called “𝓟𝓪𝓰𝓫𝓾𝓫𝓾𝓴𝓵𝓸𝓭 1.0”, last May 26, 2023, at Rizal Beach Resort, Rizal Beach, Gubat, Sorsogon.
Bannering the theme: ”𝙈𝙖𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙎𝙤𝙧𝙎𝙐 𝙖 𝙂𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙊𝙧𝙜𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙯𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣,” Atty. Mary Joy Bongapat (Executive Assistant, Legal Affairs and SorSU Board Secretary) began the program with her session on SAFE SPACES Talk, particularly Republic Act No. 11313 or The Safe Spaces Act (also known as 𝘉𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘭 𝘉𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘴 𝘓𝘢𝘸), in which she discussed gender-based sexual harassment relating to workplaces or educational institutions to provide in-depth understanding to SorSU employees on how to appropriately deal with such matter as well as effectively address and prevent these sorts of occurrences.
Meanwhile, to set the atmosphere for the team building event, the five teams (consisting of Team Blue, Team Mocha, Team Yellow, Team Mint Green, and Team Peach) presented and performed their team yells, followed by energizing team games/activities.
In addition, the new SorSU employees introduced themselves before the SorSU teaching & non-teaching personnel. They also partook in an exciting activity that serves as their ceremonial welcome as official members of the 𝙋𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙨𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙈𝙖𝙮 𝙋𝙪𝙨𝙤. (SorSU PIO)
