Sorsogon State University has taken significant strides in reaffirming its commitment to students by continuing its initiative to provide free breakfast. On November 7, 2024, the university successfully served sweet chocolate rice porridge (champorado) to 213 students at the SorSU covered court, an effort made possible through the sponsorship of the College of Teacher Education and Midwifery (CoTEdM).

This approach not only nurtures a supportive environment for students but also encourages collaboration and mutual support. Through such efforts, Sorsogon State University reinforces its commitment to cultivating an inclusive and caring academic environment that benefits all.
The facilitation of free breakfast was carried out by Bachelor of Technical-Vocational Teacher Education (BTVTEd) students led by Prof. Fely A. Habla (BTVTEd Program Chair). By continuing to implement programs that prioritize student welfare, the university exemplifies the positive impact educational institutions can have on their communities.

Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 2: Zero Hunger, the Pamantasang May Puso is dedicated to tackling food security and promoting health within its academic community. The university demonstrates that it can play a vital role in addressing social issues while enhancing the quality of life for its students. (SorSU PIO)
