In observance of Ash Wednesday, Sorsogon State University (SorSU) administrative officials, teaching & non-teaching personnel, as well as students, gathered together for a solemn mass today, February 14, 2024, at the SorSU Covered Court, Sorsogon City Campus.
Afterward, SorSUeno students and employees queued to receive blessed ashes on their forehead in the Sign of the Cross. This practice holds profound meaning for Roman Catholics and other Christian denominations, serving as a reminder of mortality and call for repentance — Remember that you are dust and to dust you shall return. (Genesis, 319). (SorSU PIO)
