To assess the effectiveness of the university’s quality management system and ensure that the university remains on track with its objectives for continued improvement and excellence, the Sorsogon State University (SorSU), under the leadership of SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, conducted its Management Review on February 28, 2025, at SorSU Dormtel, Sorsogon City Campus.

The agenda of the meeting, in alignment with ISO standards, covered the following: Status of actions from previous management review, changes in external and internal issues that are relevant to the QMS, information on the performance and effectiveness of the QMS, customer satisfaction and feedback from relevant interested parties, extent to which quality objectives have been met, process performance and conformity of product & services, non-conformities and corrective actions, monitoring and measurement results, the performance of external providers, the adequacy of resources, the effectiveness of actions taken to address risk and opportunities and opportunities for improvement.


Additionally, the SorSU Budget Office, led by Ms. Ma. Patricia Fernandez Banares (OIC-Budget Officer), received the Best Workplace Award during the Internal Quality Audit (IQA) held on February 17, 2025.


The meeting was attended by Dr. Jhonner D. Ricafort (Vice President for Academic Affairs), Campus Directors (CDs), Dean-GS, Staff Directors, Unit Heads, Deans, QMS Core Team Leaders, QMS Internal Quality Audit Team, and other key individuals involved in the university’s quality initiatives.
