In a steadfast commitment to honoring the unwavering support and outstanding accomplishments of its valued stakeholders, Sorsogon State University (SorSU) proudly hosted the “Gabi ng Parangal” on May 27, 2025, at the Sorsogon Convention Center in Sorsogon City.

Carrying the theme, “Weaving the Future of the Pamantasang May Puso: 118 years of Excellence and Innovation”, the evening began with a red-carpet entrance honoring the university’s dedicated employees. The ceremonial program opened with the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, conducted by Ms. Charmaine A. Janoras, followed by the SorSU Hymn led by Mr. Paul Ian J. Dealca.

De Jesus, who highlighted the university’s milestones, achievements, and strategic plans for the future.

In her message, she thanked everyone and said, “Without your collective support, the transformation and advancement of our Pamantasang May Puso would not have been possible. This is not a one-woman show- we are all in this together, exerting our best efforts and even making personal sacrifices to achieve our institutional goals. Through our recent accomplishments, we have proven that empowerment, unity, and cooperation are well justified and very effective. Thanks to all of you, we are now accomplishing milestones that were once only aspirations.”
