Sorsogon State University (SorSU), headed by SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, together with SorSU executive officials, participated in the 2025 PASUC Midterm Convention and General Assembly on July 9-11, 2025, at the SMX Convention Center, Manila.

Themed, “Forging the Future: Empowering SUCs through Innovation, Sustainability, and Excellence,” this year’s convention is designed to promote meaningful dialogue, collaboration, and the exchange of ideas among HEI leaders, key stakeholders, and development partners.
The three-day event explored innovative policies and initiatives aimed at empowering SUCs, with key discussions focusing on strategic investments, digital transformation, human capital development, sustainability and human competitiveness, innovation, research collaboration, and transformational governance.


The program also included esteemed speakers from government and partner agencies, offering a platform to discuss strategic plans and reinforce the role of SUCs in national development.
