In a significant step toward enhancing disaster resilience, a tripartite Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed among Sorsogon State University (SorSU), the Provincial Government of Sorsogon, and the Department of the Interior and Local Government-Sorsogon Local Governance Regional Resource Center (DILG Sorsogon Sub-LGRC) to conduct a comprehensive infrastructure audit in the province. The ceremonial signing took place on April 14, 2025, at Sorsogon State University.
The agreement was signed by SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, Mr. Arnel Renato L. Madrideo (Provincial Director, DILG Sorsogon Sub-LGRC), and Engr. Eric Floresca (Program Chair, SorSU Civil Engineering Department).
The partnership aims to establish and maintain an updated database of human resources, equipment, directories, and the locations of critical infrastructure across Sorsogon. By aligning its efforts with the needs of local government units and communities, the Pamantasang May Puso not only enhances disaster preparedness but also solidifies its role as a vital partner in strategic planning and resilience-building.
