Students of SorSU Laboratory High School took part in the Ash Wednesday Mass held at Sorsogon State University Covered Court, joining the wider university community in the solemn observance that marks the beginning of the Lenten season.
With reverence and reflection, the students participated in the liturgy and the imposition of ashes, pausing to renew their commitment to faith and spiritual discipline. In his homily, the priest emphasized a simple guide for the season using the word ASH: A- giving Alms, S- offering Sacrifices, and H- Holiness through Prayer. He encouraged everyone to live out Lent through charity, self-denial, and deeper prayer.
The celebration served as a meaningful reminder of repentance, humility, and compassion, as SorSU-LHS students stood in unity with the university community in this important spiritual tradition.
