Alongside representatives from SorSU-ROTC-affiliated units: Sorsogon College of Criminology, Inc., and Solis Institute of Technology, Inc., Prof. Mary Rose B. Lacdang (SorSU-National Service Training Program Director) and Mr. Al M. Alcantara (NSTP Coordinator, Castilla Campus), participated in the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) Administrators’ Summit 2025 on September 9, 2025, at the Headquarters, Naval Forces Southern Luzon (NAVFORSOL) Command, Naval Station Julhasan Arasain (NSJA), Rawis, Legazpi City, Albay.
The event highlighted the discussion on the current thrust of the AFP Reserve Force Development; insights from various participants, such as NSTP directors, ROTC commandants, and CHED representatives; presentations by major services along with ROTC-related policies, five-year ROTC data, gaps & challenges, and best practices; and an open forum session.
This year’s summit brought together ROTC administrators from across the region, including the Philippine Navy, Air Force, and Army, as well as other key attendees. (SorSU PIO)
