SorSU OVP for Administration and Finance provides free breakfast for Sorsogon City Campus students

The Sorsogon State University reaffirms its commitment to student well-being through the continuation of its initiative to provide free, nutritious breakfast. On October 2, 2024, the university offered a warm serving of macaroni soup for 145 students in the SorSU covered court, made possible by the generous sponsorship of the Office of the Vice President for Administration and Finance, under the supervision of Mr. Gerald E. Fulay, JD.

In alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 2: Zero Hunger, Sorsogon State University demonstrates its commitment to addressing food security and promoting health within its academic community. This initiative reflects the university’s broader mission to create a supportive and inclusive environment for all stakeholders, particularly its students.

The free breakfast was prepared and facilitated by Bachelor of Technical Vocational Teacher Education, Major in Food Service Management (BTVTED-FSM) students, highlighting their involvement in this meaningful initiative. Through programs such as this, the university aims to cultivate a culture of care and support, reinforcing its role as a cornerstone of the community.
