Sorsogon State University (SorSU) participated in the Regional Budget Forum conducted by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Regional Office V on February 5, 2026, at Vela Hotel, Legazpi City, pursuant to the issuance of National Budget Memorandum No. 156 dated January 5, 2026.
The university was represented by Dr. Leny D. Berdin (Chief Administrative Officer-Finance Division), Dr. Catherine A. De Castro (Director, Planning Management Office), Ms. Ma. Patricia D. Fernandez-Banares (Head, Budget Office), Mr. Jordan B. Doroja, CPA (Head, Accounting Office), and Ms. Maricar D. Doctor (Administrative Officer V).
The forum focused on FY 2027 budget preparation, the formulation of FY 2027 budget proposals, and the roles and processes of the Regional Development Councils (RDCs) during budget preparation.
Through its participation, SorSU affirmed its commitment to ensuring that its budget planning and proposals are aligned with national government policies and fiscal priorities. (SorSU PIO)
