SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus of Sorsogon State University (SorSU) participated in the Bikol Foundation for Higher Education (BFHE) Last Quarter 2025 and First Quarter 2026 Board and Officers’ Meeting on January 8, 2026, at the Bicol University Executive Office, Legaspi City.
The meeting opened with a welcome message from BFHE President Baby Boy Benjamin Nebres III, and a special message from Dr. Demetrio P. Anduyan, Jr. (Regional Director, CHED ROV).
Several key matters were taken up during the meeting, including the presentation of the evaluation results of the BFHE conference, the financial report, and updates on the status of the organization’s registration with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
The discussion also covered the publication of extended abstracts from the 2024 and 2025 Research, Development, and Extension (RDE) Symposia, the school calendar, and planned collaborative research initiatives involving the University of Nueva Caceres (UNC) and Ateneo de Naga University (AdNU).
Present during the meeting and the simple thanksgiving party were Dr. Ma. Angela Pioquinto (Conference Evaluation Team Leader, CNSC), Dr. Marilissa J. Ampuan (BFHE Treasurer), Dr. Michael Clores (ParSU VPAA-Research and Extension Forum Lead), Fr. Nielo Cantilado, Fr. Aristotle Dy (Committee Chair), Dr. Fay Lea Patria Lauraya (Committee Chair), and Atty. Remelisa Alfelor, BFHE Officers, Board Members, and Provincial Representatives.
