SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, participated in the annual celebration of the Philippine Open Gov Week (OGW) 2025, led by the Philippine Open Government Partnership (PH-OGP) Steering Committee and various government agencies alongside their civil society organization partners, from May 19-23, 2025, at the Luxent Hotel, in Quezon City, Metro Manila.
OGW 2025 featured a series of sessions aimed at fostering dialogue and collaboration to tackle challenges in the reform areas in the Open Gov Challenge. The event united national and local government leaders, civil society organizations, and key stakeholders in the open government movement, underscoring their shared commitment to promoting inclusive and responsive governance.
The Philippines is among the eight founding countries of the Open Government Partnership (OGP), an international multi-stakeholder initiative launched in 2011 that aims to enhance governments to be more transparent, responsive, and accountable to citizens. (SorSU PIO)
