SorSU President De Jesus leads presentation of the 2nd Quarter accomplishment report at SorSU BOR regular meeting — highlights University’s academic & admin feats on board exams, internationalization initiatives, infra dev’ts
The Sorsogon State University Governing Board of Regents (SorSU BOR), chaired by CHED Commissioner Dr. Ethel Agnes Pascua-Valenzuela and attended by the honorable SorSU BOR members, held its 2nd Quarter Meeting on August 13, 2024, at the SorSU Boardroom, Sorsogon City Campus.
Relatively, in her report, SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, highlighted SorSU’s academic and administrative accomplishments, such as remarkable licensure examination results, including exemplary national placers from the academe; ongoing internationalization efforts and undertakings, particularly several international visiting professors and students, as well as the University’s latest infrastructure developments.
The items in the agenda have undergone a thorough review and were supported with corresponding resolutions to successfully help the academe’s ongoing efforts and endeavors to fulfill its mandates and goals.
The 2nd Quarter BOR regular meeting was attended (in-person) by the following SorSU BOR Members, namely, Hon. Edna Cynthia S. Berces (OIC Regional Director, NEDA), Dr. Perry F. Carpio (Faculty Association President), Dr. Jhonner D. Ricafort (Alumni Federation President), and Hon. Erwin Formento (Student Federation President). Present also in the meeting was Atty. Septon A. De La Cruz, CESO III (Regional Director, CHED ROV) who served as a resource person.
Meanwhile, Hon. Evelina G. Escudero (Representing Hon. Alan Peter S. Cayetano – Chairperson of the Senate Committee on Higher, Technical and Vocational Education), Hon. Marie Bernadette “Dette” G. Escudero (Representing Hon. Mark O. Go – Chairperson of the House Committee on Higher, Technical and Vocational Education), and Dir. Rommel R. Serrano (Regional Director, DOST ROV) were among the virtual attendees of the meeting. (SorSU PIO)
