Together with other presidents of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Bicol, regional directors/coordinators of various agencies, and other key officials, SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, attended the 1st Regional Research and Development Coordinating Council (RRDCC) Meeting of Bicol Consortium for Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources Research and Development (BCAARRD) for CY 2024, held last May 28, 2024, at Partido State University, Goa, Camarines Sur.
The agenda of the 1st RRDCC Meeting for 2024 covered the following items, to wit: presentation of BCAARRD’s accomplishment report and targets, conduct of Regional Symposium on R&D Highlights, inclusion of the CMI presentation in the RRDCC meeting of the approved R&D projects with National ISP approved for funding by DOST/PCAARRD, updating of the Database of the Pool of Experts, submission of reports for inclusion in the annual report of BCAARRD, conduct of monitoring and evaluation, digitization of IEC collaterals, designation of cluster representatives, confirmation of the appointment of the new Director of BCAARRD (to be nominated by the base agency and confirmed by RRDCC), and other matters (presentation of UPLB CPAD Center for Strategic Planning and Policy Studies.
