SorSU President De Jesus Reinforces Commitment to Student Well-being with Nutritious Breakfast Initiative

Sorsogon State University continues to champion student welfare through its ongoing initiative to provide free breakfast. On May 16, 2025, the university served hearty rice porridge topped with fresh eggs sourced from its own poultry to students of SorSU-Castilla Campus—a meaningful initiative generously sponsored by SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus.

The initiative was closely aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 2: Zero Hunger, emphasizing SorSU’s commitment to ensuring the well-being of its students. By providing healthy and warm meals, the university nurtured students’ physical health and supported their academic performance by addressing one of the most fundamental needs: nutrition.

As Sorsogon State University continues to prioritize student well-being, it remains dedicated to fostering a nurturing academic environment that promotes both educational excellence and overall health. (SorSU PIO)
