Sorsogon State University (SorSU) proudly receives the Bicol Compliance Excellence Award from CHED-UniFAST Region V, recognizing the university’s outstanding commitment to the timely and complete submission of UniFAST billing, liquidation, validation, and other documentary requirements. This honor reflects SorSU’s continued pursuit of good governance, professionalism, accountability, and dedicated service to its student stakeholders.
The awarding took place during USAP UniFAST (Ugnayan sa mga Scholarship Coordinators upang i-Angat ang mga Programa ng UniFAST sa Bicol) on July 11, 2025, held at the SorSU Audio-Visual Hall, Sorsogon City Campus.
The program featured welcome remarks from Dr. Alfonso Garcia, Dean of SorSU-COTED, and a keynote message from Dr. Demetrio P. Anduyan, Jr., CESO III, Regional Director of CHEDRO V. Discussions on UniFAST validation, billing, liquidation, and special programs were led by Mr. Emmanuel R. Villamor, Ms. Via M. Dometita, and Mr. Vince Joseph L. Vibar. Highlights of the event included the Awarding of Certificates of Commendation and the Ceremonial Signing of the Pledge of Commitment, followed by the closing remarks of Dr. Ma. Pamela Sorra-Vinas, Oversight Supervisor for UniFAST.
This recognition further strengthens SorSU’s role as a leading institution in the implementation of student financial assistance programs in the Bicol Region. (SorSU PIO)
