To further Sorsogon State Universityโs commercialization initiatives, SorSU Office of the Vice President for Research, Extension and Training (RET) conducts the ๐๐๐๐๐ฝ๐ค๐ค๐จ๐ฉ: ๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ค๐ฌ๐๐ง๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ฃ๐ค๐ก๐ค๐๐ฎ ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ง๐๐ฉ๐ค๐ง๐จ ๐๐ฃ ๐๐ง๐ค๐ข๐ค๐ฉ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ฉ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ฉ๐๐๐๐ง ๐๐ง๐ค๐๐ช๐๐ฉ/๐๐๐๐๐ฃ๐ค๐ก๐ค๐๐ฎ ๐๐ค๐ง ๐ ๐๐ช๐๐๐๐จ๐จ๐๐ช๐ก ๐พ๐ค๐ข๐ข๐๐ง๐๐๐๐ก๐๐ฏ๐๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ featuring guest speakers from Cavite State University, the Department of Science and Technology Region V (DOST-V) and Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) โ Sorsogon at the SorSU DormTel from April 18-21, 2023.
The activity primarily aims to strengthen the development of business models, promotion, and marketing strategies for the successful commercialization of SorSU research outputs. The workshop will also cover topics discussing the establishment of research centers, technology commercialization, and product/technology promotion, as well as knowledge of compliance with regulatory requirements.
During the opening program, the participants from the different campuses of the University as well as guest speakers from Cavite State University (CVSU) namely; Dr. Melbourne Rio Talactac, the Vice President for Research and Extension of CvSU, and Dr. Teddy Tepora, Innovation and Technology Support Office (CvSU-ITSO) Manager and Program Leader of RAISE in Region IV were welcomed by Dr. Ryan V. Dio, Vice President for SorSU-RET.
After the preliminaries, a ceremonial Memorandum of Agreement between Sorsogon State University and Cavite State University (CvSU) followed, signifying future collaborations in research to mutually agreed upon areas of study as well as develop academic exchanges.
Furthermore, Ms. Mirabelle L. Pineda and Engr. Jeremiah O. Burac of the Fairnessa Opinion Board (FOB) Secretariat of DOST V will share a discussion on Technology Innovation for Commercialization (TechniCom) Program of DOST along with Technology Promotional and Marketing programs of DOST. The DTI Officer-in-Charge Provincial Director Ms. Ma. Lourdes Pancho will also present the Regulatory Compliance and Requirements for Food Products and about Packaging and Labeling regulations, followed by testimonials of four selected Micro Small Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) of the province.
