The Sorsogon State University – Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) Unit successfully underwent the Regional Annual Administrative & Tactical Inspection (RAATI) 2025 on April 14, 2025, at the Sorsogon Sports Arena, Brgy. Balogo, Sorsogon City.
The annual event officially commenced with welcome remarks from LTC Cliff Chester L De Ocampo GSC (INF) PA (SorSU ROTC Commandant), followed by a message from Dr. Jhonner D. Ricafort (Vice President for Academic Affairs). Afterward, the Turnover/Acceptance of the ROTC Unit for Inspection was facilitated by the ROTC Commandant and RAATI Chairman, Col Leonardo C Dacumos INF (MNSA) PA.
RAATI Chairman Col Dacumos INF (MNSA) PA provided the overview of the activity and introduced the members of the RAATI Team, responsible for assessing the readiness and performance of the unit.
The company ceremonial parade of the SorSU-ROTC Unit showcased the cadets’ collective discipline, rigorous training, and precision through coordinated drills and movements. Other outdoor activities comprised a close order drill, a raid ambush scenario, first aid/basic life support, knot tying, disassembly and assembly of M16 rifle and caliber 45, and map reading.
Meanwhile, the indoor activities covered administrative inspection, comprehensive examination, Operations Order (OPORD), and Methods of Instruction (MOI), conducted during the morning session.
The event concluded with the presentation of token and certificate of appreciation to the RAATI Team. (SorSU PIO)
