As part of the University’s proactive efforts to uphold the highest standards of global education and continuous improvement of its services, a ceremonial signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between Sorsogon State University (SorSU) and Visayas State University, represented by SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus and Dr. Prose Ivy Guasa Yepes (VSU President), respectively, successfully took place last August 14, 2024, at the Visayas State University (VSU), Baybay City, Leyte.
The MOA signing between the two institutions marks the establishment of a framework of academic cooperation in instruction, research, extension, quality assurance, internationalization, sharing of library resources, development of instructional materials, and faculty/student exchange program, including benchmarking activities in identified areas for adoption of best practices both from SorSU and VSU; joint research and extension undertakings, as well as the conduct of joint workshops, seminars, and relevant trainings, among others.
