Sorsogon State University (SorSU) strengthened its commitment to fostering civic responsibility and national development by formalizing partnerships with three institutions through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing ceremony on July 28, 2025, at the SorSU Boardroom, Sorsogon City.

The ceremony began with the acknowledgment of guests by Dr. Telesforo D. Escoto (Campus Director, Sorsogon City Campus), followed by a presentation of the MOA’s rationale by Dr. Ma. Elena C. Demdam (Campus Director, Bulan Campus). The agreement was officially established between SorSU and the following partner institutions: Sorsogon College of Criminology Inc., represented by Dr. Ma. Soledad M. Quinones; Solis Institute of Technology, represented by Ms. Joanne D. Solis; and the Philippine Army, represented by Maj Kathleen R. Endrano (FS), PA 505th CDC Director.

In her message, SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, expressed strong support for the collaborative initiative. “We are enthusiastic and fully committed to this joint effort in implementing the Reserve Officers Training Course. As a major partner of the Philippine Army in the ROTC program, we are committed to assisting the administration and students of SCCI and Solis Institute in fulfilling this requirement. Together, we shall be able to mold our students to become patriotic, law-abiding, and productive citizens of our country.”
