To highlight its commitment to innovation and strengthen industry partnerships, Sorsogon State University (SorSU) participated in the 2025 Innovation and Technology Transfer Summit on April 28-29 at The Pepperland Hotel, Legazpi City. The summit, hosted by the Department of Science and Technology Regional Office V (DOST-ROV), centered on promoting collaboration and developing innovative solutions to address industry challenges.
With the theme, “Bicol Innovation Express: Smart and Sustainable Solutions through Technology Transfer,” the summit served as a platform to showcase innovative technologies and drive discussions on transforming research into viable, market-ready solutions.
Under the leadership of SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, the university has consistently supported initiatives that foster collaboration, encourage knowledge sharing, and empower both students and faculty to actively contribute to the development of sustainable solutions.
As one of the event’s exhibitors, SorSU’s RAISE Project Team, led by Engr. Ivy Rose B. Gonzales (Project Leader, RAISE SorSU) and Prof. Jezzabie G. Gamis, presented innovative products that demonstrated the university’s focus on sustainability. Among the showcased products were Crab Chips, Pili Pulp Crackers, Vacuum-packed Baloko, Vegetable Cookies, and Sweet Potato Fried Noodles.
