SorSU-Sibika Hub organizes virtual Democracy Talks event – Empowering Youth: Building Resilience for Better Mental Health

To empower the youth and foster resilience for improved mental health, Sorsogon State University – Sibika Hub successfully spearheaded a webinar called “Democracy Talks event – Empowering Youth: Building Resilience for Better Mental Health” via Zoom Meeting, last September 28, 2024.

The online democracy talk featured two Registered Guidance Counselors from SorSU as resource speakers namely, Prof. Abner L. Dellosa (Head, Human Resource Management and Development Office) and Mr. Mikko S. Guardian (SorSU Guidance & Counseling Services Unit). Prof. Dellosa centered his talk session on ‘Building Resilience: Essential Skills for Mental Well-being’, while Mr. Guardian explored on the subject ‘The Role of Mental Health in Active Citizenship and Community Engagement’.


The event was participated by high school, college and graduate students from SorSU campuses and other schools and universities, young professionals, Out-of-School youths, faculty members, SK officials and members, local youth development officers, mental health practitioners, government agencies and LGU representatives.
