SorSU-Sorsogon City Campus ROTC Unit, together with SorSU-Castilla Campus, Spearheads ROTC Graduation, Turn-Over of Command Ceremony

With a total of 795 graduating 𝘙𝘖𝘛𝘊 𝘉𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘤 𝘊𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘵𝘴 & 15 graduating 𝘙𝘖𝘛𝘊 𝘈𝘥𝘷𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘊𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘵 𝘖𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘳𝘴 1𝘊𝘓 from SorSU-Sorsogon City Campus and 108 (𝘉𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘤 𝘊𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘵𝘴) & 6 (𝘈𝘥𝘷𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘊𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘵 𝘖𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘳𝘴 1𝘊𝘓) from SorSU-Castilla Campus, Sorsogon State University Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) Unit, along with SorSU-Castilla Campus, conducted 𝘙𝘖𝘛𝘊 𝘎𝘳𝘢𝘥𝘶𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘛𝘶𝘳𝘯-𝘖𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘊𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘺 on June 11, 2023, at SorSU Covered Court.

Maj Annamy N Nero (OS) PA led the declaration of the ROTC graduates, followed by the distribution of certificates and awarding of medals to Honor ROTC Cadets by SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus; Maj Annamy N. Nero (OS) PA (Commandmant); Prof. Ma. Claire M. Dicen (Director, NSTP); and CPT Emeterio S Belmonte PA (RES) (Executive Officer, 505th Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion (RRIBn)).

Following the awarding of medals was the ‘𝘛𝘶𝘳𝘯-𝘖𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘖𝘶𝘵𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘊𝘰𝘳𝘱𝘴 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘐𝘯𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘊𝘰𝘳𝘱𝘴 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳’ and ‘𝘋𝘰𝘯𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘧 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘴 𝘗𝘢𝘵𝘤𝘩 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘖𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘊𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘺’ headed by 1LT Ronnel M Malle, PA (RES) (Admin Officer, SorSU-City Campus ROTC) and MAJ Annamy N Nero (OS) PA (Director, 505TH Community Defense Center), and assisted by CPT Emeterio S Belmonte Jr, PA (RES). The 𝘎𝘳𝘢𝘥𝘶𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘊𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘦𝘴 culminated with a snappy silent drill performance of SorSU ROTC Unit Batch Kinaadman.

Prof. Andrew F. Detera (Campus Director, SorSU-Castilla Campus) gave the welcome remarks, while SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, delivered the keynote speech during the graduation ceremonies, where she expressed her sincere admiration to graduating ROTC Cadets and Cadet Officers, for choosing the challenging military-oriented program over the others. She remarked,

In addition, the ROTC Officers from Bulan, Castilla, and Sorsogon City Campuses, together with the Sorsogon College of Criminology, Inc. (SCCI) & Solis Institute of Technology, Inc., also joined and partook during the ROTC Officers’ Night and Oathtaking Ceremony in the evening event. (SorSU PIO)
