Sorsogon State University (SorSU) reaffirmed its commitment to quality and continuous improvement as it officially opened the ISO 9001:2015 Surveillance 1 Audit on July 22, 2025, at SorSU Dormtel, Sorsogon City.

Leading the audit were Mr. Ranilo L. Bernardino (NQA CEO) and Ms. Maritess B. Bernardino, both serving as Lead Auditors. The audit process primarily aims to confirm that the management system has been established, implemented, and maintained according to the requirements of the audit standard; evaluate the management system’s ability to ensure the client organization meets applicable statutory, regulatory, and contractual obligations; assess the effectiveness of the management system to ensure it continually meets its specified objectives; and identify, where applicable, areas of the management system that could be improved.


Present during the opening meeting of the two-day audit were SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, Mr. Gerald E. Fulay, JD (VPAF), Dr. Jhonner D. Ricafort (VPAA), Dr. Ryan V. Dio (VPRET), Campus Directors, Staff Directors, Unit Heads, Deans, Program Chairs, All Process Owners, QMS Core Team, and the IQA Team.
