SorSU-Young Entrepreneurs Society holds general assembly; showcases entrepreneurial skills

The Sorsogon State University-Young Entrepreneurs Society (Y.E.S.) of the College of Business and Management (CBM) held a general assembly and organized a Mini Business Gallery on October 9, 2024, at the SorSU Social Hall, Sorsogon City Campus.

The assembly began with opening remarks from Dr. Maria Luisa P. Mirasol (Dean, CBM) and a message from Prof. Cristy Docdocos (Program Chairperson, BS Entrepreneurship).

A key part of the program focused on introducing the Y.E.S. initiative. Attendees were briefed on the Constitution and By-Laws, Accomplishment Report, Financial Statement, Y. E.S. merchandise, list of upcoming activities, and the 4th-year Business Implementation plans. An open forum allowed attendees to engage in discussions and ask questions. The event concluded with remarks from Prof. Pauline Pearl Cruz (Adviser, Y.E.S. organization).

In addition, the Mini Business Gallery showcased a range of products made by various entrepreneurial groups within the college. Young entrepreneurs presented unique creations including seaweed empanadas, tres fritas, sweet seas, seavory, pili pulp shakes, pili crunch, pili coffee, frugie mini donuts, yumazing sweets, ragsik baluko, and siliko d’ lights, which demonstrated creativity and a commitment to sustainability and health-conscious living.

The event served not only as a requirement for the entrepreneurial course but also as a significant opportunity for students to showcase their skills in product innovation. (SorSU PIO)
