Together with SorSU top executives, VPAA Jhonner D. Ricafort, VPRET Ryan V. Dio, and Campus Directors, Dr. Telesforo Escoto (Sorsogon City), Prof. Andrew Detera (Castilla), Prof. Lynn C. Mendoza (Magallanes), and Prof. Ma. Elena Demdam (Bulan), University President Geraldine F. De Jesus conducted a benchmarking activity at the Cavite State University (CvSU) last 2-3 February 2023.
The delegation was welcomed by CvSU officials headed by President Hernando D. Robles with the five vice presidents: VP Melbourne R. Talactac, VP Ma. Agnes P. Nuestro, VP Lolita G. Herrera, VP Mary Jane D. Tepora, VP Camilo A. Polinga, ILCLO Director Mariel Mojica-Lising and PACO Director Adora Joy T. Plete during the courtesy call. They also visited the Interdisciplinary Research Building and other facilities within the CvSU-Main Campus.
Aspiring to establish university research centers, SorSU officials focused their attention on best practices regarding research projects, laboratories, equipment, and facilities, among others, as they were attended to by CvSU’s VP Melbourne R. Talactac (Research and Extension), Dr. Miriam D. Baltazar, Dr. Teddy F. Tepora, Dr. Hosea Matel, and Dr. Agnes Alimboyoguen during the ocular visit. A collaborative partnership between the two educational institutions will be explored in the near future. (SorSU PIO)
