On March 5, 2025, students from Sorsogon State University received financial assistance through the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program, at the SorSU covered court, Sorsogon City Campus.
The initiative, aimed at supporting students’ educational needs, was made possible through the generous funding provided by Ako Bicol (AKB) Partylist. Qualified students each received Php 10,000 for the second semester of the academic year 2024-2025 to assist them with their educational expenses.
The program highlighted the ongoing efforts of the AKB Partylist to prioritize education as a key part of national development, ensuring that young people have the resources they need to succeed academically and professionally.
