A total of 2,372 National Service Training Program (NSTP) students under the Civil Welfare Training Service (CWTS) and Literacy Training Service (LTS) components were officially recognized as completers by Dr. Telesforo D. Escoto (Campus Director, Sorsogon Campus) during the NSTP Completion Rites of Sorsogon State University – Sorsogon City Campus on June 7, 2025, at the SorSU Covered Court, Sorsogon City Campus, carrying the theme “Empowered to Serve, Called to Lead.”
Mr. Christian G. Fugen (NSTP Coordinator, Sorsogon City Campus) presented a total of 2,107 CWTS candidates: 1, 085 from the College of Technology (COT), 497 from the College of Business and Management, 379 from the College of Engineering and Architecture (CoEA), 119 from the College of Health and Science (CoHaS), and 27 from the College of Teacher Education (CoTEd), as well as 265 LTS completers with 227 from CoTEd, 18 from CBM, eight from CoHaS, six from CoEA, and six from COT.
The keynote address was delivered by Mr. Julius Escanilla Edma (Provincial Youth Development Officer & Project Manager, Kagandahan Program). The respective deans of the colleges also provided congratulatory messages.
The event also included the awarding of certificates and awards to the CWTS and LTS completers. KAAGAPAY NSTP OIC President Carl Joseph Bitbit delivered the Message of Gratitude, while the Pledge of Commitment was facilitated by Prof. Mark Darrel A. Ergina (DRR & CC Coordinator). The completion rites concluded with a closing message from Prof. Mary Rose P. Lacdang (NSTP) and the singing of the completion song “Kabataang Pinoy.” (SorSU PIO)
