Headed by SorSU – Office of the Quality Assurance, under the leadership of Dr. Jenet B. Fuentes (Director, SorSU QA) and SorSU-Accreditation Task Force with invaluable support of SorSU-Accreditation Working Committees, the three-day 3rd Survey Phase 2 Online Program Accreditation conducted by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) on five (5) programs of Sorsogon State University (SorSU) successfully culminated today, November 29, 2023, with a hybrid mode closing program at the SorSU Board Room (for in-person) and online via Zoom Meeting.
Dr. Rolito S. Estrellado (Overall Coordinator, AACCUP, Inc. Team), in his 𝘖𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘐𝘮𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯 of the five evaluated curricular programs of SorSU, commended the respective Accreditation Task Force of Bulan and Castilla Campuses for their relentless effort and hard work to comply all the desired documents in the three-day accreditation as well as provide the additional requested forms of their respective accreditors. In response, during the 𝘈𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘱𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘗𝘭𝘦𝘥𝘨𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘪𝘵𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵, SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, extended her deep appreciation to AACCUP Overall Coordinator, Dr. Rolito S. Estrellado and the respective AACCUP accreditors for sharing their time and effort in the three-day undertaking.

After the 𝘈𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘱𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘗𝘭𝘦𝘥𝘨𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘪𝘵𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 of 𝘗𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘋𝘦 𝘑𝘦𝘴𝘶𝘴 was the 𝘝𝘪𝘳𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭 𝘗𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘊𝘦𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘙𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘨𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 for the esteemed AACCUP accreditors. This was subsequently followed by the closing messages from Prof. Maria Elena C. Demdam (Campus Director, Bulan Campus) and Prof. Andrew F. Detera (Campus Director, Castilla Campus).
During her closing remarks, Prof. Maria Elena C. Demdam (Campus Director, Bulan Campus) expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the diligent evaluators whose expertise has been instrumental in this thorough evaluation. In addition, Prof. Demdam also thanked the SorSU top management as well as the Bulan Campus non-teaching staff, especially the local task force headed by respective program chairs, for their time, expertise, and commitment to upholding the standard of academic excellence.

Further, Prof. Andrew F. Detera (Campus Director, Castilla Campus), in his closing message, highlighted that such an event is a significant avenue to knowing the University’s status, measuring its systems, and working out its potential for improvement.
