On July 29, 2024, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), the Professional Regulatory Board of Electrical Engineering, and the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers of the Philippines, Inc. (IIEE) hosted the oath-taking ceremony for the newly registered Electrical Engineers and Registered Master Electricians at the Audio-Visual Hall, Sorsogon State University Campus.
The event commenced with opening remarks from Engr. Sheik Arik Azurin (IIEE President, Sorsogon Chapter). This was followed by inspirational messages from Atty. Mark Gerald Guirindola (Sorsogon City Administrator) and Engr. Edgardo U. Aragon (2023 IIEE Regional Governor-Bicol). Atty. Guirindola, in his message, emphasized the importance of taking the oath to heart. He advised the new engineers to uphold the highest ethical standards and resist the temptation to compromise their professional integrity.
Following the inspirational talks, Hon. Sharo B. Lo, the Regional Director of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC V), delivered the Charging Orders to the newly registered engineers, marking their official entry into the profession. He then administered the oath-taking ceremony for the Registered Electrical Engineers and Registered Master Electricians.
Furthermore, Engr. Gregory D. Moreno (2024 IIEE Regional Governor-Bicol) led the oath-taking ceremony of the new Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers of the Philippines, Inc. (IIEE) members. The ceremony also featured a dance performance by the SorSU Dance Theater Cultural Group (DTCG), under the direction of Ms. Kristel Kimberly G. Dellomas.
Mr. Jerome M. Banes (Chief, Professional Regulation Officer) subsequently provided important PRC announcements. The event concluded with closing remarks from Engr. Joselito S. Orticio (2021 IIEE Regional Governor-Bicol), bringing the ceremony to a fitting end.
