The Sorsogon State University (SorSU) Band and Majorettes made a commendable debut at the 12th Serenata Brass Band Concert and Majorette Competition, part of the Magayon Festival 2024. Despite being first-time participants, the group’s performance was notable, demonstrating their skill and dedication over just a week and a half of preparation.
The university extends its heartfelt congratulations to the SorSU Marching Band and Majorettes for their impressive representation. Their participation in the competition, was met with enthusiasm and pride. The team is encouraged to build on this experience for future events.
Special acknowledgments are extended to SorSU President Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, and Dr. Telesforo D. Escoto , Campus Director of SorSU Sorsogon City Campus, for their unwavering support.
Congratulations are also due to Sir Elmer P. Esplana for his exceptional leadership as conductor and trainer of the SOrSU Marching Band and to Majorettes’ trainer Sean Jaymor Garduque, whose efforts were instrumental in preparing the routine.
The university community appreciates the support from all involved and looks forward to future successes.
