Sorsogon State University SSC Faculty Organization – Sorsogon Chapter, Inc. (SSCFO-SCI), headed by Prof. Ramil D. Evangelista (President, SorSU SSCFO-SCI), conducted its general assembly on September 13, 2024, at SorSU Audio-Visual Hall, Sorsogon City Campus.
SSCFO-SCI President Prof. Evangelista formally began the assembly with opening remarks, followed by a message from Dr. Telesforo D. Escoto (Campus Director, Sorsogon City Campus).
The morning activity highlighted informative talk sessions on Group Insurance & Group Health, GSAC Membership, and Credit Card Application by Ms. Rica L. Dimaano (Insurance Agent), Ms. Novalyn C. Enconado (GSAC Sorsogon Branch Manager) & Ms. Ira Mataverde (Marketing Manager), and Ms. Lora May Lledo (LBP Magsaysay Branch Manager), respectively. Afterward, an open forum took place, wherein the resource speakers addressed queries and clarifications from the faculty members.
Meanwhile, the afternoon session featured a brief presentation from the Head of the Human Resource Management and Development Office, Prof. Abner L. Dellosa, reiterating some HRMDO’s friendly reminders concerning submission of requirements, request for Travel Order (TO), requirements for payment of overload, requirements for service credit, and evaluation of teaching effectiveness.
Amendment of CBL, renewal of Zoom account, and commitment to group insurance were among the agenda that was discussed and deliberated by the members during the Business Proper. The President’s Report was presented by SorSU SSCFO-SCI President Prof. Evangelista, whereas Ms. Ritzi C. Fullente (Treasurer, SorSU SSCFO-SCI) provided the Treasurer’s Report.
Following the closing remarks from Dr. Noel Benavides (President, SorSU SSCFO-SCI) was a bingo social among the attendees which concluded the assembly. A total of 244 faculty (143 regular members & 101 associate members) partook in the activity.
The successful event marked the first assembly of the faculty members under the leadership of the new SorSU SSCFO-SCI officers (2024-2026). (SorSU PIO)
