- August 9 – Blessing and ribbon cutting of the new Integrated Academic Building with Hon. Marie Bernadette “Dette” Escudero, Representative, Sorsogon First District, LGU officials, SorSU Admin and employees, DPWH representatives and stakeholders, and students.
- August 13 – The SorSU Health Services Unit through DOH, CSC and DOLE”s Healthy Workplace Program gets SorSU employees their ANTI-INFLUENZA SHOTS ensuring wellness and boosting the immune system and protect from risks of illnesses.
- August 17 – Faculty members’ Review of the Instructional Materials initiated by Prof. Elden G. Orgela, BS Fisheries- Program Chair, Ms. Mary Rose Gabuyo, Program Chair, Marine Biology, Dr. Mae H. San Pablo, Quality Assurance Coordinator, and faculty members.
- August 19 – Official opening of the classes.
- Official opening of the SorSU Magallanes Campus Canteen.
- BS Marine Biology Onboarding for First Year students headed by Ms. Mary Rose P. Gabuyo, Program Chair, BS Marine Biology, Mr. Michael H. Galapon, Research Coordinator, and Unit Head of Marine Biodiversity Research Center, and Ms. Shaira M. Mendones, Marine Biology Student Organization Adviser.
- August 27 – Education and Entrepreneurship Department Student Orientation headed by Dr. Olive N. Mancera, Program Chair, Education Department and Prof. Gylcelda Perol, Program Chair, BS Entrepreneurship.
- Conduct of NSTP Orientation for first year students providing them with an overview of the program’s objectives, requirements, and opportunities for community involvement initiated by Mr. Michael H. Galapon.
- August 28 – The Fisheries Department conducted the BS Fisheries Freshmen Orientation: Mapping your journey in Fisheries Science” headed by Prof. Elden G. Orgela, Program Chair, BS Fisheries.
- Bloodletting conducted by the Rural Health Unit and LGU participated by SorSU personnel and students as well as invited barangays.
- The Scholarship and Financial Assistance Services Unit conducted the Scholar’s General Assembly for TDP and TES Grantees headed by Prof. Franklin P. Calaminos, Coordinator, Scholarship and Financial Assistance Services.
- August 29 – Buwan ng Wika “Pista sa Nayon” Celebration with the theme “Filipino, Wikang Mapagpalaya. The first part of the activity was a program attended by SorSU President, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, Dr. Feliza D. Marbella, Director, Sentro ng Wika, Dr. Jhonner Ricafort, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Lynn C. Mendoza, Campus Director, and other key officials. The highlights of the activity was the Grand Pantomina and a boodle fight among employees and students. The second part was devoted to students’ Laro ng Lahi held in the afternoon.
