SorSU OP sponsors free breakfast for 404 SorSUeno students in Sorsogon City Campus, Baribag Extension Campus

Consistent since its launching three weeks ago (September 11, 2024), Sorsogon State University (SorSU) continues its initiative of providing free, nutritious breakfast for SorSUeno students. Through the generous sponsorship of the Office of the President (OP), a total of 404 students were served champorado (chocolate rice porridge) and Malunggay bread today, September 27, 2024, held at the Education Building, Sorsogon City Campus and in the Baribag Extension Campus.

Today’s free breakfast program was facilitated by 3rd-year BTVTED students and OP representatives, wherein the former prepared the Malunggay bread themselves. The breakfast program recorded a total of 322 and 82 students in the Sorsogon City Campus and Baribag Extension Campus, respectively. SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, likewise personally visited the venue at the Education Building to express full support for the University’s initiative and ensure that the students were well-served throughout the program.

SorSU’s newly launched ‘Nourish to Flourish’ program is aligned with the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goal 2: Zero Hunger. The University remains steadfast in fostering a positive and supportive academic institution for its stakeholders and community members, especially the SorSUeno students. (SorSU PIO)
