SorSU-Sorsogon City Campus holds Supreme Student Council Elections; CSC-COMELEC releases final results

Sorsogon State University – Sorsogon City Campus, through the College Student Council-Commission on Elections (CSC-COMELEC), successfully conducted simultaneous Supreme Student Council (SSC) Elections 2024 last October 9, 2024, at the SorSU Covered Court, Sorsogon City Campus and SorSU Baribag Extension Campus.

Following the counting of votes, the CSC-Comelec, through the official Facebook page of Sorsogon State University- Supreme Student Council Sorsogon City Campus, announced the final and official results of the election. The following are the newly elected members of the Supreme Student Council of SorSU-Sorsogon City Campus, to wit:
President: Shaquille O’Neal Jeresano (1,160 votes)
Treasurer: Hilary Mae Belardo (1,123 votes)
Auditor: Ralph Laurence Janoras (1,118 votes)
Business Manager: Roland Jayson Jetajobe (1,110 votes)


Last October 8, 2024, the CSC-COMELEC organized the Harapan 2024, where the running candidates presented and laid out their respective platforms, held at the SorSU-Social Hall.


Further, the candidate/s for the presidential position were screened by the campus director, SAS coordinator, and SSC adviser. Meanwhile, candidates for the auditor, treasurer, and business manager positions were assessed by two selected representatives of the student body, the head of Student Affairs and Services, and a faculty member.


In addition, since no applications have been received for other SSC positions, CSC-COMELEC will spearhead another screening on October 14, 2024 (Monday), for interested/qualified individuals for the following vacant positions: Vice President, Secretary, Public Relations Officer, and Business Manager 2).
