
Overview
Sorsogon State University (SorSU) exemplifies a strong commitment to collaborative partnerships, not just at local and national levels but also at an international scale. By engaging and working together with diverse stakeholders and various institutions, including government agencies, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and local communities, SorSU aims to effectively achieve the shared global goals by reinforcing the means of implementation of SGDs toward a more sustainable society.
By participating and, at the same time, leading conferences and discussions that include various stakeholders, the University fosters collaborative solutions and shared responsibility for sustainable development. Likewise, SorSU displays an extensive network of international partnerships and cooperations, actively partaking in cross-sectoral dialogues and crafting best practices that address the SDGs. These global ties continuously improve SorSU’s capacity to contribute to global sustainability initiatives.

FEATURED STORY
With the aim of providing platforms for academic exchanges across disciplines and strengthening collaborations with Southeast Asian higher education institutions (HEIs), Sorsogon State University (SorSU), the pioneering institution of the biennial Southeast Asian Multidisciplinary Research Expo and Extension Conference (SEAMREEC), spearheaded the international research conference for the second time, carrying the theme, “Create. Capacitate. Collaborate. Connect: Driving Global Sustainability through Multidisciplinary Research and Extension,” which runs from June 24-27, 2025, at the Sorsogon Convention Center, Sorsogon City, Sorsogon. SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, opened the conference, extending a warm welcome to esteemed guests and participants. In her welcome message, SorSU President De Jesus underscored the importance of regional collaborations through knowledge sharing that meaningfully benefits the community and society.
