To strengthen academic collaboration among institutions, Sorsogon State University (SorSU) together with Aklan State University (ASU) and other partner State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), formalized their ties through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on January 31, 2025, at the ASU Kalibo Function Hall, Kalibo, Aklan.
This significant event laid the groundwork for future cooperation between Aklan State University and its partner SUCs, aiming to enhance academic development and create opportunities for knowledge-sharing among the institutions.
Dr. Jeffrey A. Clarin, President of Aklan State University, led the signing on behalf of ASU. Other notable attendees included SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus of Sorsogon State University, Dr. Baby Boy Benjamin D. Nebres III of Bicol University, Dr. Arnel B. Millesca of Dr. Emilio B. Espinosa Sr. Memorial State College of Agriculture and Technology, Dr. Alex H. Navarroza of Bicol State College of Applied Sciences and Technology, Dr. Alberto N.
