The Sorsogon State University-College of Technology (SorSU-COT), under the leadership of Dr. Orlando D. Doncillo (Dean, College of Technology), successfully organized Technology Days 2025 from April 24 to 26 at the Sorsogon City Campus. The event, spearheaded by the Technology Student Council (TSC), served as a platform to showcase the university’s commitment to innovation, technological advancement, and academic excellence.
A key highlight of the three-day event was the PA “TECH” LABAN competition, where technology students showcased their skills in various fields, including arts, literary expressions, and gaming. Additionally, the event featured research presentations, with students exhibiting prototypes and solutions developed from product development studies. This provided an opportunity for students to demonstrate their technical abilities and innovative ideas.
Present at the event were faculty members, Ms. Charis D. Esmeria (TSC Adviser), along with Dr. Telesforo D. Escoto (Campus Director, Sorsogon City Campus) and Dr. Orlando D. Doncillo, who observed the presentations and demonstrations, providing constructive feedback and valuable insights.
Technology Days 2025 reaffirmed SorSU’s commitment to providing a multidisciplinary approach to education, ensuring students are well-prepared for the rapidly changing technological landscape. The success of the event emphasized the university’s strong culture of innovation and its focus on academic excellence. (SorSU PIO)
