SorSU’s BS Midwifery program awarded COPC by CHED

In full compliance with the prescribed minimum requirements stipulated in CHED Memorandum Order (CMO) No. 03, s. 2023, titled “Policies, Standards, and Guidelines for the Bachelor of Science in Midwifery Program (BSM),” Sorsogon State University (SorSU) – Sorsogon City Campus has been officially granted the Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) by the Commission on Higher Education – Regional Office V (CHED-ROV) to offer Bachelor of Science in Midwifery Program, effective Academic Year (AY) 2025-2026.

As stated in CMO No. 03, s. 2023, the BSM program is a four-year degree program that integrates general education and professional courses aimed at equipping future midwives with higher-level midwifery competencies, including intensive clinical practicum and midwifery specialization in DOH/CHED-accredited affiliated institutions.
