Highlighting the theme, “Pasinaya Para sa Lahat,” students from the province of Sorsogon showcased their talent and skills on February 1, first day of the Pasinaya 2025, hosted by the Cultural Center of the Philippines.
Rondalla groups performed at Sorsogon State University (SorSU)-Sorsogon City Campus Audio Visual Hall, including Kiblit De Sorsogon which was composed of SDO Sorsogon Province Rondalla, SorSU Instrumentos de Cordo, Bulan National High School Rondalla, and Instrumentos de Cuerda de San Vicente Elementary School; and the Sorsogon East Central School Rondalla.
Simultaneously, the SorSU Social Hall was also filled with energy and excitement as the Sorsogon National High School (SNHS) Dance Troupe performed “Kunday Sornahay,” while the SorSU Dance Theater and Cultural Group (DTCG), together with SorSU Instrumentos de Cordo, presented “Pinakulan: An Istorya ni Bitan-o asin Dalipay.”
To conclude the first day, “Ta(y)ong Dalawa: Indak sa Saliw ng Pusong Umiibig” was screened at the SorSU AV Hall, featuring traditional courtship dances from Samar and South Cotabato. Moreover, the SorSU DTCG performed “Pantomina,” Sorsogon’s renowned traditional dance.
