To bolster the implementation of its National Immunization Program (NIP), the Department of Health Bicol Center for Health Development (DOH Bicol CHD) formalized its partnership with Sorsogon State University (SorSU), along with BRIC members and other partner stakeholders, through a ceremonial signing of Memorandum of Understanding for the Bicol Regional Immunization Council (BRIC) on May 14, 2025, at the Vela Hotel, Legazpi City, Albay.
Bearing the theme “Arangkadang Pagbabakuna: Proteksyon para sa Bawat Pamilyang Pilipino,” the MOU signing was part of the DOH Bicol CHD’s 2nd Bicol Immunization Summit, which gathered NIP coordinators, health officers, brgy. local chief executives, partners, and various stakeholders, including national government agencies, non-governmental organizations, medical societies, civic organizations, faith-based organizations, and academic institutions.
SorSU was represented by SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, during the ceremonial MOU signing.
The event underscores the shared commitment of various agencies and organizations to the cause of immunization, demonstrating their collective efforts to ensure the health and well-being of the Bicolano community. (SorSU PIO)
