On June 25, 2025, the second day of the Southeast Asian Multidisciplinary Research Expo and Extension Conference (SEAMREEC), continued with a series of parallel sessions covering seven research tracks held across seven venues.
The conference began with a recap of Day 1. Dr. Ana Cristina G. Fortes (SorSU Director, Extension and Training) introduced the plenary speaker, Dr. Trinh Quoc Lap, who gave a plenary talk on “Sustaining Teacher Professional Development: How are our practices informed by research?”
Key presentations included: Dr. Bernardo N. Sepeda (Executive Director III, National Research Council of the Philippines) on “Capacitating Leaders for Transformative Change,” Dr. Dessy Aliandrina (Founder and Executive Director, Sociopreneur Indonesia) on “Empowering Sustainable Sociopreneurship: Creating Impact Through Educational Innovation in Southeast Asia,” and Dr. Shazida Jan Mohd Khan (Executive Director, Cooperative and Entrepreneurship Development Institute, University Utara Malaysia), on “Cooperative Excellence: Building Sustainable Economic Communities Through Research and Extension.”
The program continued with a cultural intermission by SorSU Dance Theater and Cultural Group, and more parallel sessions. The event culminated in a poster presentation exhibit, highlighting innovative research from various disciplines.
