SorSU-CoHaS organizes successful one-day Strategizing for Excellence: Strategic Planning Program 2025 activity

Aimed at setting targets, aligning departmental goals with university-wide strategies, and addressing emerging health and science trends, Sorsogon State University – College of Health and Science (SorSU-CoHaS), headed by Prof. Teresa Haide R. Belgica (Acting Dean, SorSU-CoHaS), successfully conducted its one-day “Strategizing for Excellence: Strategic Planning Program 2025” activity on February 12, 2025, at the SorSU Old Boardroom, Sorsogon City Campus.

The one-day strategic planning activity centered on Strategic Plan Updates for 2025 led by Dr. Catherine A. De Castro (Director, Planning Management Office), as well as Research and Extension Plan Updates by Engr. Ivy Rose B. Gonzales (Director, Research and Development) and Dr. Ana Cristina G. Fortes (Director, Extension and Training Services).


Meanwhile, the afternoon session, focused on finalizing strategies and budget allocations, featured a meeting session with officials from the Office of the Vice President for Finance and Administration (VPAF), including Mr. Gerald E. Fulay, JD (Vice President for Finance and Administration), Dr. Ma. Sylisa J. Estur (Chief Administrative Officer-Administrative Services), Mr. Jordan B. Doroja (Accountant III), and Ms. Ma. Patricia Fernandez Banares (Budget Officer III).


Afterward, the participants collaboratively engaged in finalizing and presenting the College’s Annual Operational Plan (AOP) as well as planning and preparing for interdisciplinary and community engagement projects. (SorSU PIO)
