To foster enhanced collaboration and extensive cooperation in advancing research and extension development initiatives in agriculture and fisheries, Sorsogon State University (SorSU), headed by SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, the Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office (DA-RFO), other partner national agencies, and State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) across Bicol Region, officially signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the unification and institutionalization of the Bicol Regional Agriculture and Fisheries Resources, Research and Extension for Development Network (BAFRREDN) held on February 18, 2025, at the Sta. Catalina Hall, FOD Bldg., DA-RFO, San Agustin, Pili, Camarines Sur.
Serving as a major partnership mechanism for Agriculture and Fisheries Research for Development and Extension (AF R4DE), BAFRREDN is established to facilitate the downstream of critical and relevant policies and interventions from national R4DE institutions through reinforced and direct partnerships between and among Agriculture and Fisheries Resources, Research and Extension for Development Network (AFRREDN) members.
