BSEd Science Students Engage in Seminar on AI Integration in Teaching


The Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Science (2nd Year) students from Sorsogon State University – Magallanes Campus participated in a seminar under the course subject The Teaching of Science, held at the Post Harvest Building.


The seminar featured Dr. Aldrin John J. Estonanto as the guest lecturer, who delivered an insightful and comprehensive talk on “The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Enhancing Teaching Strategies.” His presentation explored the integration of AI in classroom instruction, highlighting its potential to support innovative, engaging, and effective practices in science education.


This academic engagement also served as a valuable collaborative effort between campuses of Sorsogon State University, emphasizing the institution’s dedication to fostering inter-campus partnerships and promoting the exchange of knowledge and expertise.


The event was organized by Ms. Cyra Mae R. Soreda, faculty member of the course, as part of her ongoing commitment to expose students to emerging educational technologies and equip future educators with the tools necessary to meet the evolving demands of 21st-century teaching.
