The Bloom 2024–2025: A Season of Growth and Community Unfolds in Its Latest Magazine Edition at SorSU Castilla

With gratitude and joy, The Bloom, the official student publication of Sorsogon State University Castilla Campus, has unveiled its 2024–2025 magazine edition.

The newest issue was formally presented by Editor-in-Chief Emeritus Marc Clarence D. Dacullo, together with current Editor-in-Chief Kristine Mae D. Equipado, Layout and Graphics Artist Jan Kenneth D. Rosare, and the dedicated editorial board, photojournalists, writers, and videographers. They were accompanied by Mr. Honesto Troi F. Borromeo III, The Bloom’s Adviser and Student Publication Services Coordinator.


As a gesture of appreciation, the editorial team visited campus officials, including Prof. Andrew F. Detera, SorSU Castilla Campus Director; Dr. Rochele N. Aragon, Dean of the College of Agriculture; and Ms. Mari Anne B. Gojar, International Relations Office Coordinator.


The magazine was also presented to university officials during the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony of the Bamboo Research Center and Slaughter Area on September 4, 2025. On this occasion, the team had the honor of sharing the new issue with Dr. Ryan V. Dio, Vice President for Research, Extension and Training; Dr. Jhonner D. Ricafort, Vice President for Academic Affairs; and University President Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus.


This year’s edition of The Bloom, carrying the theme “SorSU Castilla Campus is Blooming,” serves as a thoughtful reflection on the fruitful academic season at SorSU Castilla Campus. Academic Year 2024–2025 has been a time of steady growth, shared dedication, and meaningful achievements. Within its pages, readers will find stories that highlight not only milestones, but also the compassion, service, and sense of community that embody SorSU as a Pamantasang may Puso.


The editorial board warmly invites the community to read and reflect on this edition of The Bloom, which offers narratives of collaboration, academic pursuit, and campus life lived with purpose.
