LOOK BACK | Sorsogon State University (SorSU) – Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) Units from three campuses: Sorsogon City Campus, Castilla Campus, and Bulan Campus, successfully conducted the ceremonial rites for the university-wide Joint Presentation of Sponsors and Escorts on December 15, 2025, at the Sorsogon Sports Coliseum, Sorsogon City
With LTC Annamy N Nero (OS) PA (Executive Officer & Operations) serving as the esteemed guest of honor and speaker, the presentation of sponsors and escorts also included activities, such as Trooping the Line and Honor to Nation & Honor to the University, performed by the SorSU Marching Band. SSG Marlon Rubios (MI) PA (Chief Clerk, SorSU Sorsogon City Campus) led the Reading of Orders, which was followed by the ceremonial Pinning of Ranks.
Dr. Jhonner D. Ricafort (Vice President for Academic Affairs) opened the ceremony with a welcome message. The occasion was likewise graced by Dr. Telesforo D. Escoto (Campus Director, Sorsogon City Campus), Prof. Mary Rose B. Lacdang (NSTP Director), Mr. Christian G. Fugen (NSTP Coordinator, Sorsogon City Campus), and Mr. Al M. Alcantara (NSTP Coordinator, Castilla Campus).
This significant event showcases the collaborative spirit and teamwork among the ROTC units across the different campuses. It served as a platform to recognize and honor the dedicated sponsors and escorts, reflecting SorSU-ROTC’s shared commitment to nurturing leadership, camaraderie, and service within its community.
