Sorsogon State University officials, headed by SUC President III, Dr. Geraldine F. De Jesus, alongside Dr. Catherine A. De Castro (Director, Planning Management Office) and Ms. Ma. Patricia F. Banares (Head, Budget Office), successfully presented the university’s FY 2027 budget proposal before a review panel at the five-day FY 2027 Regional Development Council (RDC) Technical Budget Review, conducted from February 9-13, 2026, at the RDC Hall, DEPDev Regional Office V, Legazpi City, Albay.
The panel, consisting of representatives from regional line agencies, local government units (LGUs), RDC officials, RDC private sector representatives, and Bicol legislative representatives, conducts technical reviews of the programs, projects, and activities indicated in the FY 2027 budget proposals of agencies and State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), which are scheduled to continue until February 13, 2026.
The five-day technical budget review likewise included presentations on the Regional Development Plan 2023-2028 Midterm Update via audio-visual presentation (AVP) and the CY 2025 Regional Development Report (Overall Performance) by. Engr. Ma. Dinna Lynne L. Ordona.
The event was also graced by Dir. Edna Cynthia S. Berces (Regional Director, Department of Economy, Planning and Development; Vice Chair, RDC; & SorSU BOR Member). Other SorSU officials present at the event were Engr. Cindy D. Deocareza (Planning Officer III, SorSU-PLMO) and Mr. Nino D. Galvan (Information Systems Analyst II, SorSU-ICT). (SorSU PIO)
